We close the show with an inspiring story of a past or present-day good nurse or other medical hero. We also discuss current events and hot topics related to nursing and the medical field.
How it all started
When I first became a nurse, I was so excited to start taking care of patients. The years of hard work and exhaustion had finally started paying off. I realized soon after beginning to work at the bed-side that not everyone in the medical field is supportive and encouraging. This is what prompted me to start a podcast that would educate, entertain, and encourage nurses and other medicalprofessionals.
Why listeners connect with me
I'm a registered nurse and work as a team leader at a level I trauma center. My listeners connect with me because I am one of them: I work, I have a family, and I face the same every-day challenges that they face.

We still can't believe it... what an amazing response we've seen to our little podcast! Nurses are the best (well maybe there are a few bad ones out there), and our first year proved just how much community exists among nurses all over the world.

The next year we saw even faster growth in our number of listeners as well as our social media following, and of course we are thrilled to say we had our first sponsor!

The year of Covid was unprecedented and difficult, but while most podcasts saw a 30%-40% drop in their listenership, GNBN actually grew our listenership as well as our social media reach!
